A clip of Westworld was shown a the ATX TV Festival, and it’s looking mighty fine.

There’s good news and bad news today. First up, HBO brought was is apparently a fantastic new clip of Westworld to the ATX TV Festival in Texas. Westworld is set to finally air this Fall, though there is no concrete date just yet. The bad news is that the new clip hasn’t been made available to the public, so for now, only the attendees of the fest has been able to see it.

That’s a frustrating festival trend that should end. The internet age deserves better. Feelings aside, it’s still awesome that there was no footage to show of in the first place. Those involved with the production of Westworld, including, J.J. Abrams, Jonathon Nolan, and co-showrunner Lisa Joy, were on hand to discuss the clip.

According to various sources, the new trailer heavily featured Evan Rachel Wood and was set to “Paint it Black” by The Rolling Stones. Nolan said that it was because of Game of Thrones’ success that Westworld that gave the team the final push. The clip also showcased some android and Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins also appeared in the very first teaser trailer from last year.

It’s a shame that the general public hasn’t been able to watch the new trailer yet, though hopefully HBO will end up posting it before too long. Westworld is ready for a comeback, with the previous controversies all but forgotten. The show still has a few months, at least, to continue building its hype back up. If the new trailer is as good as its current reputation, HBO might not have anything to worry about after all.

And we just might be treated to the great sci-fi adaptation that we’ve been waiting for.
