We’ve pretty much come around to the fact that 2017 is not going have more Westworld in it. The series is taking a year off to give us the second season that we deserve, and while what’s a great thought it does leave a lot of room to fill. We’ve previously looked at how that could be done, but now there is a new way to get a Westworld fix this year – more music.

According to an announcement on social media, the Westworld soundtrack will soon be available on Vinyl. If you’ve held out this long, this might be the release to get you on board.

The soundtrack will have multiple color releases exclusive to various retailers, including Think Geek, Books a Million, and Newbury Comics. You can take a look at those nice looking versions right here. Those releases are only a single disc, so they don’t actually contain the full soundtrack. Think of them more as “best of” collections. For those that actually want the full 34 song behemoth and aren’t interested in fetching color designs, Barnes & Noble is where it’s at. Barnes & Noble will have the full soundtrack on 3 regular black records. It doesn’t look quite as nice, but it’s the only way to get the full experience.

This is a nice way to give Westworld something of a second life this year, and will at least ensure that people will talk about the music. Westworld’s first season music was one of the highlights of the season, and that of course includes that wonderful piano covers of songs by the likes of Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails. The single vinyl version focus mainly on the piano covers, relegating the score to the back seat.

All versions will be out on April 7th, and the colored versions will run for around $24. For what it’s worth, the full release from Barnes & Noble will only set you back $34.99, which feels like a steal compared to the colored exclusives.
