The Full Westworld Soundtrack is now Available
The entire Westworld soundtrack is now up for grabs, in case you need to relive the sounds of the first season until 2018.
There are so many distinct pieces that make Westworld great, some of which we discussed in our recap of the season finale. One of those pieces is the soundtrack. The sounds of Westworld are composed by Ramin Djawadi, the man behind Game of Thrones. Westworld’s soundtrack eschews the typical epic overtones in favor of quieter, piano driven moments. There’s nothing quite like it currently on TV.
The full soundtrack is now available as of today. That’s 34 songs of Westworld goodness, straight to your ears. This also includes all of the solo piano covers that were previously released as an EP, so there may be some double dipping going on here. In terms of covers, Djawadi favors Radiohead, featuring several of their songs (most form OK Computer.)

It’s basically an embarrassment of riches. It’s great that HBO chose not to sit on this and release it so soon after the finale. That does mean that there will be less Westworld goodness in-between now and 2018, when the second season is expected to premiere. Djawadi continues to prove himself as one of the most versatile composers currently working in entertainment, and it wouldn’t be out of the question to expect the Westworld soundtrack to get some love during award season.
Speaking of award season, Westworld is up for a couple of Writers Guild Awards.

The soundtrack is available right now, no preorder necessary, and can be purchased from just about everywhere. The iTunes blurb, by the way, states that the soundtrack is “a cinematic dream world haunted by memories of rock’s past.” Maybe a little over dramatic, no?
