Do these Westworld photos make the wait worth it?

HBO’s adaptation of Westworld has been a long time coming. Too long, some would argue, but hopefully the extended wait will be worth it. The success of Westworld could open the door for more sic-fi shows over at HBO and beyond. We already know that Evan Rachel Wood is super excited for it, and maybe you will be too after seeing some of these new Westworld photos.

The series isn’t premiering until October, and HBO has seen fit to blast us with some new promo images. Take, for instance, this totally awesome train:

Now that’s the sort of thing we’re looking forward to in Westworld. The series, about a western-themed future theme park, promises to be epic and violent. Basically fitting with every other HBO drama that has gone on to do really well. Except this one has angry, mistreated androids. The author of the original novel, Michael Crichton, would go on to re-use the theme park idea for Jurassic Park.

Westworld has had a pained development and it was only recently that it was given a premiere date in October. Below, check out another pic of James Marsden as Teddy:

Westworld’s case in an embarrassment of riches, including Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Amy Adam, and James Marsden. Westworld is expected to run for ten episodes and has been described as a long movie that has been cut into pieces. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t plans for more seasons, but it’s possible that HBO is going to watch how the show does very closely before it makes a decision about its future.

The rest of the new Westworld photos can be found over here, though we’ve seen some of them already, or at least slight variations of them. Westworld will premiere on October 2nd and stands to be one of the most highly anticipated shows that HBO has had in recent memory.
